Tarana is a world-fusion group performing original and adapted instrumental music that is inspired by many global genres including Indian, Arabic, Eastern European, Western Classical, Flamenco, Latin and American Jazz/Fusion.​ The members of Tarana believe that music can heal the body and alter the consciousness and enjoy creating a diverse sound that can range from subtle and subdued…to intense and profound.

TaranaAnn Lindquist’s repertoire spans many genres of music including World Fusion, Jazz, Classical, Folk, Latin and Middle-Eastern styles. She performs with many different flutes, including the Concert, Alto, Bass and Contrabass flutes in addition to Native American and bamboo flutes. She has performed festivals up and down the west coast as well as venues in Alaska, Hawaii and beyond. Ann has presented at the National Flute Convention 2013, and has performed at venues such as the Washington Center for Performing Arts, Washing State Governor’s Mansion and the Capitol Building in Olympia. Ann has recorded with artists Susan Osborn, Linda Khandro and Scott Cossu and groups Tarana World Fusion, Spherix, ShAnLi’ and the Circle of Flutes flute choir. Her original compositions are published by ALRY Publications.

Kenyon Curtiss has been studying the classical guitar for 43 years. His musical interests include a variety of styles and settings, from Classical, Jazz and World music to Electronica and therapeutic music. Ken has been performing Playback Theater for eighteen years in the Seattle area with Threshold Ensemble and Playback Theater of the Northwest. In addition to playing with Tarana World Fusion, he performs with local Jazz and World music groups including Ancient Sounds, and Latin jazz quartet Todo Es, and enjoys playing a variety of World musical instruments.

Anil Prasad began playing percussion at the age of seven, and accompanied his mother, Prabha Devi a famous Indian vocalist and sitar player for several Ghazal and Bollywood film scores in the 1960s and 70s.  He was recruited to the Husky Drumline out of high school and became the Husky Drumline section leader for two consecutive years where he composed several drum cadences that are still played to this day. Anil has studied with Tor Dietrichson, Ustad Akram Khan, and is currently a student of the world-renown tabla master, Ustad Zakir Hussain.  In addition to Tarana World Fusion, Anil has and recorded and performed with many western, world music, and Indian groups in Seattle and beyond including Children of the Revolution, Andre Feriante, The Bohemian Entourage, and Pandit Debi Prasad Chatterjee.

Jason Everett is a multi-instrumentalist, composer, arranger and producer who plays a variety of stringed and percussive instruments including his seven-string fretless bass guitar, electric upright bass, and an electric sitar of his own design. Jason is a past member of the King County Arts Commission (now 4 Culture) and is also the CEO of Mister E Productions a world music production and management company that represents among other artists: Tarana, Andre Feriante, The Bohemian Entourage and Tal Maya. He recently released a solo album of Indian influenced world music under the name Tal Maya on his own label. In addition to his solo work and playing with Tarana World Fusion, Jason has recently performed with Andre Feriante (Spanish/Classical) Avaaza (upbeat Mediterranean); Amrita, Mandali, Gina Sala’ (Kirtan); Shoruk (Arabic); Ancient Sounds (World); The Yoginis (Indian Fusion); and Deseo Carmin (Flamenco Rock).
